The Philatelic Register has been created with the aim of promoting all aspects of philately and related topics. Registration is FREE. As well as containing a varied range of articles, a primary aim is to promote specialist societies and study groups and to highlight the myriad and diverse areas, historical, cultural, social and academic that shelter under the umbrella term of "Philately".
Much of the inspiration has come from magazines and journals of the past such as "Stamp Collecting Weekly", "Philatelic Bulletin". The frequency of publication of these along with the content did I believe contribute to a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation amongst collectors back then.
It is hoped that "The Philatelic Register" with the assistance of today's electronic wizardry which facilitates interactivity will instill some of this enthusiasm in collectors today.
